The great team at Cibi in Collingwood, asked me to create a poster for there next exhibition and pop-up kitchen. For the commission, I worked to capture the spirit of their amazing concept store by drawing all their products. Here is the outcome and I hope you can all come along to the opening party!

Rather than drawing for this exhibition, I worked to create a series of prints made from deconstructed white T-shirts. These images entitled The Veil are inspired by lace pieces and costuming. After passing a wedding party on the street, I was very inspired by the idea of a veil and issues surrounding the idea of a contemporary wedding. I saw the veil as something protective and magical even, this is my take on this ancient tradition.
The Seductive and Subversive runs at Paradise Hills Gallery until 2nd of April 2011. Images thanks to photographer Luke Oxley.
Todd Selby of The Selby, gave a great little talk to a fascinated crowd at Collingwood's Compound Interest: Centre for the Applied Arts. The crowd was a stylish mix, as one can imagine and were captivated by the process behind his wonderful online project. His all purple combo really stood out, topped off by a PAM T-shirt. Nice to see him sport a local Melbourne label.
